What to compare

Four points, all of them readable before you pay, and none of them recoverable once the party is over.

Is thirty seconds enough?

A best man's speech, a first dance, a whole table in fits of laughter: none of that fits into thirty seconds. Medley puts no fixed ceiling on video length. Each file can be up to 2 GB, within the 100 GB of storage included per album. Videos are transcoded so they play on every phone without touching the original.

What happens when the network gives way?

A hundred and twenty guests on one mast, in a venue out in the countryside: an upload that restarts from zero at every drop is a guest who gives up. With Medley a large file goes up in resumable chunks, so a dropped connection costs one chunk to send again, never the whole video.

When two statements contradict each other

Retention is the one promise you only get to verify at the moment it is too late. Secure storage for one year on one side, lifetime access on the other: have it settled in writing before you pay, whichever service you end up choosing.

Where are the files hosted?

Wedding photos are personal data, yours and your guests'. Medley hosts them in the European Union (in France, with OVH), under the GDPR, and writes it down in plain terms. A publisher that says nothing on the subject leaves you nothing to check.

Source, checked on 7 August 2026wedsy.frThe advertised price, the contents of the offer, the storage duration, the video cap and the guest book all come from that page, which is written in French. Offers change, and the price we recorded was presented as a promotional one: check their current terms before you decide. This comparison sticks to criteria that can be checked publicly, and what we could not check is flagged as such rather than assumed.

What Wedsy does well

Fair is fair: Wedsy animates the evening better than we do. Photo challenges with rewards, a Live gallery to project, automatic moderation, gallery control in the hands of the couple, and support seven days a week. If your priority is to get the room playing, their product is built for exactly that. Ours is built for what comes after: the retention, videos no clock cuts short, and files hosted in the European Union.

Frequently asked questions

Does Wedsy really limit videos to 30 seconds?
That is what their offer stated when we recorded it on 7 August 2026: videos unlimited in number, thirty seconds each. A ceiling like that can move, so check their current terms. With Medley each video can be up to 2 GB, within the album’s 100 GB of storage, which is enough to let a whole speech filmed on a phone through.
How long do the two services keep the album?
Wedsy announces secure storage for 1 year in the detail of its offer, while mentioning lifetime access under the price: have it clarified before you pay. The album is kept for 2 years on the Event plan; an album still on trial is deleted 30 days after the event date (or after its creation, if the album has no event date or one earlier than its creation), and no later than one year after its creation.
Can I get my photos out of Wedsy and put them into Medley?
Yes: download the ZIP archive from your Wedsy gallery while it is still active, create a Medley album, then upload the lot. Your guests find everything in one place again. The album is kept for 2 years on the Event plan; an album still on trial is deleted 30 days after the event date (or after its creation, if the album has no event date or one earlier than its creation), and no later than one year after its creation.
