Sovereignty, proven
Where are your event photos stored?
For a wedding or a company event, it helps to know where files go and who can open the album. This page explains the service and links to its data policies.
Check the legal notice and privacy policy for the publisher, providers and conditions that apply to your album.
Hosting and service providers
The service documents identify the publisher and describe how data is handled.
- A named host, in France
Medley’s contractual documents list OVH in France as the hosting provider. The legal notice and privacy policy give the details of the service providers.
- Who publishes Medley
Medley is published by MAXKEN, the company of Max Bryselbout, a developer in Lille, France. Its contact details are in the legal notice.
- Hosting and GDPR
Storage location is one point to check, alongside the providers and the conditions for access to data. European hosting alone does not cover every GDPR obligation.
- A short subprocessing chain
The privacy policy describes the services used, the data involved and the purposes of processing.
How your photos are used
Medley uses the files to display the album and make them available to people with access.
- No biometrics on your guests
Medley does not identify people in photos or group images using facial recognition.
- Your content serves your album, and nothing else
Your content is used to provide the album service. It is not used for advertising or model training. The service commitments are set out in the legal notice.
- Recognising a guest’s contributions
A technical identifier stored on the device lets a guest find and delete their own uploads. It is not used for advertising tracking across sites.
- Download or delete the album
You can download the complete album and delete it from your account. Keep a copy of the files you want to retain. The album is kept for 2 years on the Event plan; an album still on trial is deleted 30 days after the event date (or after its creation, if the album has no event date or one earlier than its creation), and no later than one year after its creation.
Before sharing the link
Share the link with the right circle
Anyone with the link can open the album. Share it only with the people concerned and explain how the photos will be used.Remove a photo on request
Someone would rather not appear? You can remove any media at any time, and each guest can withdraw their own without asking you.Decide who reads the guest book
A voice or video message identifies a person just as a photo does. Its visibility is an album setting: organisers only, or everyone who has the link, and the guest knows which before recording.
