What to compare
When hosting and the GDPR are announced on both sides, they stop being a reason to choose. Here is what is left, all of it readable before you pay.
- What does the entry price contain?
For €9.90, PixOvely keeps the album two months, with 20 GB, two events and two galleries per event. The slideshow to project, the photographer space and downloading by guests are listed as “réservé à la formule Tranquilité”, reserved for the Tranquilité plan, at €29.90. Read the column, not the price: the column is what says what the evening you are planning will cost.
- Are two months enough?
Some guests only empty their phone weeks later, and a photographer often delivers after several weeks. When the period runs out, PixOvely's terms allow it to suspend access, to delete the content “après une période de grâce raisonnable”, after a reasonable grace period that is never quantified, or to offer a paid extension; backups are your responsibility. The album is kept for 2 years on the Event plan; an album still on trial is deleted 30 days after the event date (or after its creation, if the album has no event date or one earlier than its creation), and no later than one year after its creation.
- And the guests' words?
PixOvely's home page promises “messages” through the QR code, but no page we consulted describes a guest book, or says what becomes of those words. Our guest book takes a written note, a voice or a video, from the same QR code, and stays open for as long as the album does.
- What happens when the network gives way?
A hundred guests on one mast, in a venue out in the countryside: an upload that restarts from zero at every drop is a guest who gives up. With Medley a large file goes up in resumable chunks, so a dropped connection costs one chunk to send again, never the whole video. PixOvely does not document this on the pages we consulted.

Fair is fair: PixOvely states where it hosts as clearly as we do, with OVHcloud, and writes it into its terms. Photos and videos are kept in original quality on every plan, the ZIP archive downloads in one click, the entry price is low and paid once, with no billing per guest. The free demonstration offer lets you print a QR code and test uploading in real conditions, the gallery can open before the wedding, a witness can be handed a moderation link without access to the account, and the top plan sets aside a space for the photographer. If that photographer space matters to you, the comparison tips their way. Our stance fits on one line: one offer, big screen and guest book included, and no two-month clock.
